Job Description We're seeking an experienced Dance Instructor to join our team in Sacramento, CA. As a Dance Instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studios, you'll have the opportunity to lead private and group dance classes, work with students of all ages and skill levels, and be part of a dynamic and supportive team. Key Responsibilities Lead private and group dance classes for students of all ages and skill levels Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs and goals of each student Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive learning environment for students Collaborate with other instructors and staff to plan and execute events, competitions, and performances Stay up-to-date with the latest dance techniques and trends through ongoing training and professional development Essential Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a dance instructor, with a strong background in ballroom dance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels Strong physical fitness and endurance levels, with the ability to perform and teach dance classes for extended periods Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in dance or related field preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching dance classes to children and adults with varying skill levels Knowledge of dance theory and technique, with a strong understanding of ballroom dance styles Ability to create and teach choreography for performances and competitions Experience with event planning and execution, including dance competitions and performances Fluency in multiple languages, with the ability to communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds Skills and Competencies To be successful as a Dance Instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studios, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels Strong physical fitness and endurance levels, with the ability to perform and teach dance classes for extended periods Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a Dance Instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studios, you'll have access to a range of career growth opportunities and learning benefits, including: Professional development and training programs to enhance your dance skills and knowledge Opportunities to advance to leadership roles, including studio management and ownership Access to top-level national dance coaches and mentors for guidance and support Competitions and performances to showcase your skills and talent Travel opportunities to attend dance events and competitions Work Environment and Company Culture Fred Astaire Dance Studios is a fun and supportive work environment that values creativity, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
