Epic Program Manager (Remote from US)

As an Epic Program Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Epic Project Management Office (PMO) while supporting the broader Epic program across the organization. You will coordinate project requests, manage resource allocation, and ensure timely execution of Epic initiatives, providing critical oversight to project managers and cross-functional teams. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence project success, improve operational efficiency, and foster collaboration across multiple departments. You will serve as a liaison between stakeholders, end-users, and the Epic Governance Committee, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. The position combines leadership, project management expertise, and hands-on involvement in system implementations and process improvements. Remote work is supported, with occasional on-site visits as required. Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and strategic oversight are essential to excel in this position. Accountabilities: • Supervise and support Epic project managers, including project assignment, performance feedback, and professional development • Manage the Epic project request intake process, ensuring proposals are reviewed, prioritized, and supported with business cases and technical documentation • Coordinate with Epic Application Analysts, Training Specialists, and cross-functional stakeholders to align resources and execute projects according to the Epic roadmap • Facilitate communication across Epic teams, operational leaders, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution and Go-live support • Develop and maintain Epic Workgroups, SharePoint sites, and internal communications, including newsletters and project updates • Apply project management methodologies to monitor risks, issues, and progress while reporting to the Epic Governance Committee and advisory councils • Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and documentation optimization within the Epic program Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Administration, or healthcare-related field preferred • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare organization • At least 4 years of project management experience, including 2 years working with Epic as an end user, analyst, trainer, or project manager • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing project teams • Proficiency in project planning, risk management, and status reporting • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and executive stakeholders • PMP certification preferred but not required • Ability to work remotely while occasionally visiting on-site locations Benefits: • Competitive salary and performance-based recognition • Remote work flexibility with potential on-site visits as needed • Opportunity to lead and influence large-scale Epic initiatives across the organization • Collaborative work environment with cross-functional exposure • Professional development opportunities and access to healthcare technology projects • Direct impact on improving operational efficiency and patient care Why Apply Through Jobgether?
