Environmental Specialist – Responsible Care / Air Compliance Focus*

Develop and implement environmental sustainability initiatives and strategies in alignment with 3M's Responsible Care principles and air quality regulations. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including air quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential environmental risks and recommend solutions to mitigate them. Stay up-to-date on relevant environmental regulations and proactively communicate any changes or updates to key stakeholders. Lead training and education programs for employees to promote environmental awareness and compliance. Monitor and track environmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop plans to reduce the company's carbon footprint. Respond to environmental incidents and emergencies, conducting thorough investigations and providing recommendations for prevention. Develop and maintain relationships with local regulatory agencies and participate in environmental compliance inspections and audits. Communicate 3M's commitment to environmental sustainability to internal and external stakeholders through various channels. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure they adhere to 3M's environmental standards and practices. Participate in industry conferences and networking events to stay informed on best practices and industry trends related to environmental sustainability and air compliance. Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Support the development and implementation of sustainable product design practices and provide guidance to product development teams.
