Job Summary The London School of English continues to provide essential online education to our Ukrainian students both at home and abroad during this time of war. Operating out of Kyiv, our British / Ukrainian team is determined to ensure that today's generation receives the first-class tuition they so richly deserve. Due to the popularity of our courses, we are continually looking to expand and thus seek like-minded teachers to join our committed staff. Due to our continuing expansion, we have a number of positions available for home based, online EFL teachers of native speakers level, holding a CELTA or Trinity certTESOL qualification. Applicants who are Native Ukrainian speakers are especially welcomed. The London School of English, established in 1996, is one of Ukraine's best known and respected language schools. The school is well known within Ukraine's ELT community for its teacher centric approach. Over the past 28 years we have encouraged, trained and sponsored over 50... teachers in gaining their DELTA certification and beyond. Many of our past teachers went on to enjoy successful ELT careers either within the school or at other prestigious posts throughout Europe. We teach a wide variety of ages and levels (A2-C2). Special support and instruction is given to staff new to online teaching or the Zoom platform. Our Diploma qualified teacher training team conducts our in-house professional development programme which includes practical input sessions on topics such as lesson planning, pronunciation, and teaching speaking skills, as well as workshops and regular observations with feedback from your mentor. Special emphasis is given to the teaching of young learners and Cambridge examination courses. The Teacher Professional Development Programme is designed to help teachers move towards a Diploma level qualification whilst developing their teaching skills. We continue to operate a popular DELTA sponsorship programme for employees who have been with the company for more than two years. It should be noted that the majority of our school's management and teacher training team have been promoted from within the company, underlining our commitment to both teacher and career development. Teachers are either employed on a 6 or 11-month fixed salary contract or as a freelancer paid on an hourly rate.Qualifications We welcome teachers who: Hold a Cambridge CELTA or Trinity certTESOL qualification, or equivalent of. Are at a native speaker level of English or hold a qualification that certifies them for a C1 or C2 proficiency. Hold a university degree. Have at least one to two years of experience teaching English as a foreign language. Are familiar with Zoom, the platform we use for our online groups. Are willing to teach learners of a wide range of levels (A2-C2). Are experienced in exam preparation for the IELTS, Pearson or Cambridge examinations.Salary and Benefits We offer: Fixed salary contracts, ranging from 6 to 11 months for 16 to 24 hours per week schedule. February to July 2024 or beyond, dependent on individual agreements. Net salaries can range from 32,000 - 44,000 UAH per month, or pro rata of, for a full-time contract, depending on experience and qualifications. 20 days' paid holiday plus sick pay provided for in fixed contracts. Freelance positions are on offer where teachers can earn up to the equivalent of 17 to 20 euros net per 60 mins depending on experience and qualifications. Ongoing support and participation in our professional development program. Sponsorship considered for both CELTA and DELTA after initial, 11-month contract.
