Data Architect and Developer Intern

JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job): This internship involves learning and applying Stolle's architecture, design standards, and software development practices to enhance IoT-enabled databases, monitoring systems, customer-facing applications, and integration solutions for can manufacturing operations. The role includes supporting Stolle's SDLC methodology and change management processes while helping build productive relationships between business units, IT teams, outsourcing partners, and software vendors within the industrial IoT ecosystem. The intern will gain hands-on experience with real-time sensor data collection, analysis, and visualization in a production environment. Availability for occasional after-hours support during critical phases of IoT software deployments may be required. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following: • Participate in custom database and data architecture development solutions, AI/Machine Learning (ML), business intelligence, and integration with hardware, software, and data layers with database and software solutions • Participate in activities related to software development solutions including front end, back end, middle tier, and minor level full stack development. • Participate in SDLC methodologies related to the data and database portions including different degrees and combinations of agile, spiral, pilot programs, and other iterative software development methods. • Be involved with integration of key business functions into software solutions including implementation of UI Frameworks, Business Logic, and Database solutions. Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge, and experience: • Knowledge and/or education in a variety of SLDC tools and software development languages that should include at least three or more of the following: Java (Spring framework) JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Python, JSON, RESTful services, SQL, GraphQL, Business Intelligence tools, and/or AWS Lambda. • Knowledge and/or education of RDBMS, Oracle/SQLServer, NoSQL, DML, DDL, and data integration. • Knowledge and/or education with connecting database frameworks on AWS services and Azure Dev/Ops, SQLServer • Ability to read and understand requirements and develop backend, front-end/UI, and integration (APIs) applications. • In process bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, BCS or related degree • PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment: • Able to lift computer equipment, monitors, and servers.
