Content Creator
Vista Verde Ranch is seeking a creative and adventurous individual to lead our TikTok and Instagram storytelling. This position is designed for a dynamic, multi-talented team member who is as comfortable in the saddle as they are behind a camera. While your primary focus will be filming, editing, and posting engaging content, you’ll also float into other ranch roles as needed. Familiarity with outdoor activities is essential so you can authentically and safely capture horseback rides, fly fishing, biking, hiking, cattle work, and the unforgettable experiences our guests enjoy. This is not your typical marketing job—it’s a chance to live the ranch lifestyle while shaping how the world experiences it online. QUALIFICATIONS Personality & Fit • Be outgoing, personable, and comfortable in front of and behind the camera. • Possess a strong creative drive with practical problem-solving abilities. • Adventurous spirit and exhibit a passion for the western lifestyle and the outdoors. • Demonstrate self-motivation and time management to balance physical and creative tasks Content Creator Skills • Proven experience creating TikTok or similar short-form video content • Basic video editing skills (mobile or desktop) • Eye for storytelling, humor, and aesthetic composition • Understanding of social media trends and analytics Ranch Support • Passion for the outdoors, western lifestyle, authentic storytelling, and hospitality. • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. • Physical ability to perform ranch labor and endure long days of riding. • Self-starter and team player with discipline to manage deadlines in a dynamic environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Content Creation Duties • Work closely with the marketing team to align storytelling with brand tone and VVR values. • Develop and maintain a TikTok and Instagram content calendar highlighting ranch life, events, and behind-the-scenes stories. • Film, edit, and post engaging short-form videos that are authentic, visually compelling, on trend, and overall align with the VVR brand. (A willingness to “get dusty” for the shot). • Identify and incorporate trending audio, hashtags, and content styles appropriate to the brand’s voice and keep VVR cultural relevancy. • Collaborate with staff across departments (wranglers, guides, chefs, etc) to collect content that shows unique perspectives and ranch experiences. • Track and analyze social media engagement metrics and adapt content strategies to optimize performance. • Respond to comments and foster a welcoming and interactive online community. Ranch Support (As Needed) • Support other ranch departments when determined as needed - typically during busy days/weeks, season transitions, &/or special events. • Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and authentic manner. Schedule & Reporting • Full-time, on-site at Vista Verde Ranch • Seasonal or year-round options available depending on candidate fit • Reports Director of Marketing (content duties) and specific department head for the “Ranch Support” tasks.
